This month students have enjoyed having some guests visit our class, teaching us about fire safety and cross walk safety . They were a respectful audience and are developing their skills for asking questions on topic.
As READERS, we are exploring the strategy of making predictions before, during, and after reading. As well checking for understanding continues to be a focus, talking about WHO did WHAT will show how much your child understands about their reading!
My authors have done an incredible job writing their personal narrative, small moment stories. Having Mrs. Allen co-teaching mini lessons to improve our writing skills has been a great chance for the class to work in smaller groups. On Monday, my authors will be writing an independent piece to show all they have learned!
More math . . . counting by 10s forward and back and solidifying partner numbers for 6, 7, 8, 9 has kept us busy this week. Check out the Homework link for our latest game.
