The kids have now chosen their own animal to research. I have some books to share but any time you can devote to FACT FINDING at home would be a great support with this project. We have learned not to plagiarize by reading a page and then closing the book before writing down the facts so we will recall in our own words. They have also learned about how to use TEXT features to better understand nonfiction: Table of Contents, captions, maps, bold print, glossary, and index. Encourage your child tell you about these features during nightly reading .
Water travels in a cycle, yes it does!
The students have been having lots of super scientists learning about the 3 forms of water, gas, liquid, solid and exploring the water cycle. I hope you learned a little from the expert as they shared their bracelets this week! Check out the homework ideas for a favourite song!
