We started graphing our transition time and we are down to 1 and half minutes. So much more time on learning! To celebrate our ACCOMPLISHMENT students democratically voted for Show and Tell Day TOMORROW! The students are welcome to bring in a favorite stuffy, toy, book etc to tell their classmates about. They should be able to tell something about why they brought it in and how they got it.
Also we are working on our accuracy and speed of FACTS TO 18.
The Card Sharks are having fun. . . Here is our latest game for you to try at home. Thanks for all the practice it is really paying off!
Deal out the deck of cards face up in a 4 x 4 box. One player challenges the player 2 to “spy” the two cards next to each other, either vertically or horizontally, that add to make a number by saying, “I spy two cards with a sum of 7.” Player 2 collects all the pairs that make 7 that are showing. Then fills in the open spaces. If the player missed a pair the other player can steal. Player with the most cards at the end of the game wins.
Stretch learning: Use the entire deck - Ace worth 11, Jack worth 12, Queen worth 13, King worth 14
