On Friday, Term Two report cards will be coming to a home near you! This is a great time for celebration and reflection before we begin our FINAL TERM (Can you believe I am even saying that?).
Please take some time to discuss what your child has done well this term and set some goals for therm 3.
SA - Strong Achievement (student is performing ABOVE grade level)
AA - Appropriate Achievement (student is meeting grade level expectations)
BAA - Below Appropriate Achievement (student is still working on meeting grade level requirements)
Next Thursday evening and Friday morning we will host Student Led Conferences. Please see the note I sent home today for more information. This is a great opportunity for your child to share their learning with you. Should you feel you require a parent - teacher interview, please contact me to set up an appointment after school.
I will also have their Brag Book available for you to see at this time.
Here's what on the go in 2J:
Literacy
We have been hard at work publishing our March Break adventures. We have been focusing on what good writer's do. Here is the poster we created together:

Spending some time counting money and building numbers to 100 using money is also a useful skill you can work on at home.
You and Your World
We are about to begin a unit on Technology and how it has changed over time.
We will be hosting an Artifact Museum so dig out your VHS tapes , washboards and walkmen.
Stay tuned for more information.
A few notes:
Our Flat Stanley's are starting to return home from their adventures. If your Stanley arrives at home, please send it into school so it can be presented. The students are excited to see where our Flat's have traveled.
